Ackroyd's July 1 Fun

We had a great time in Southern Alberta this weekend. We got there and back ticket free (some others weren't quite as lucky!)

Peirce ended off the school year by being sick - and being the generous guy he is he shared his germs with us and we've all had our fill of this cold. Peirce was okay when we headed down to Raymond but Jill was still a little blurry eyed and coughing a lot. She enjoyed the parade (watching and being IN it....she jumped on a float with her cousins Zoe and Soleil when they came by) and then slept all afternoon. Peirce played with a multitude of cousins and second cousins and cousins-once-removed. When we got home he puked (too much parade candy?) and went to bed. You know when you've had enough fun when....Yuck!

We have a student staying with us for the month of July. She is 17 and from Spain and seems like a really nice girl. We're looking forward to getting to know her better.

The kids are starting swimming lessons tonight. Jill is taking synchoronized swimming so that should be interesting!

Better run....J&P are having a mother-induced-mandatory nap right now due to still being sick and my spidey senses are telling me that they'll probably wake up soon! I better get a few more things accomplished before that happens!
