We've been busy this last while. Allen and I went on a trip to Atlanta while our kids were at Grandma Camp. We drove down to SLC and spent a little time there, then flew from SLC to Atlanta. The convention was terrific. We learned lots and had a great time getting reacquainted with old friends. We had a little hiccup on our trip back. We flew into SLC at 9 am and planned to get in our van and drive straight home - but our van was overheating so we stopped by a fix-it place. 5 hours later we had a new radiator and were back on the road. We didn't get to Lethbridge until 6 am the next day. We were SOOOO tired!! We went to dad's hotel and went to sleep. I went in the room and left the door open for Allen as he was bringing in the suitcase. I laid down on the bed and don't even remember him coming in....I was out immediately!
Our kids had a great time at Grandma Camp. We tried to lobby for a Papa Camp in December...but it appears that that wasn't the best time to bring that up. LOL Jill and Peirce were happy to be going home and talked all the way home about the things they did. We actually keep getting stories as the days go by....they really built up a lot of memories!!
Since we got home life has been a whirlwind.
On Friday I went for an ultra-sound. Jill came with me and it was fun to have her there. You could really see the baby swim around. It's a VERY active little baby!! We couldn't tell if it's a boy or girl yet - but it was nice to see that there are two arms and two legs and a heart and such and things appear to be developing as they should. I'm feeling pretty good. I didn't reach my goal of not throwing up all summer...but I certainly haven't thrown up as much as I did in the previous two pregnancies....so I can't complain too much (although I do!)
Allen's brother moved here from Illinois. They arrived Friday. Their container with all their furniture was already supposed to be here...but alas, it didn't arrive on time. So we got them a bunch of blankets, foamies, lawn chairs, a card table, towels, etc., so they could get by until their furniture does arrive. We're excited to have them here. They have a boy just younger than Peirce - and Peirce and he get along famously.
Saturday we had an open house for Allen's youngest brother David. They invited people from High River and Calgary that weren't able to make it here for the wedding. We had TONS of food and lots of people here...and lots of fun. That night David and Crystal stayed over as did Allen's other sister, Virginia and her husband, Andy, and little boy, Jeremy.
Now we're getting ready for Jill's birthday party. She wants to have a swimming party at Inglewood pool. Should be fun! We can invite up to 50 people! LOL I think she just might be able to fill the quota. :0)
